Family Therapy:
Families are the building blocks, the corner stones of our development and growth throughout our lives. When relationships fray, when being together brings pain, help is needed.
In family therapy we work with families at every stage of the life cycle. They may be dealing with young children with behavior problems at home or in school, with teen issues, or with losses due to death or
divorce.
Families experience other serious issues such as the impact of alcohol or substance abuse, or having a member with a severe mental health problem such as bipolar illness or schizophrenia.
Family therapy will provide much needed support, education, and will collaborate on finding solutions to these painful issues. Therapy is often brief as interventions used are tailored to assist the family in
taking advantage of their strengths to deal more effectively with the real world outside the therapist's office.
